Skiing in Puchberg am Schneeberg

Ski holidays at the 4****S Hotel Schneeberghof in Lower Austria

paper

Skiing for beginners and freeriders.

Ski holidays around the Schneeberg are not for the average skier. On the one hand, the Wunderwiese offers perfect conditions for children's ski courses and beginners. On the other hand, the slopes around the Schneeberg chairlift are an Eldorado for freeriders, freaks and deep snow artists. Here, the winter sports enthusiasts among us can look forward to a wide range of offers right at the foot of the Schneeberg: the ultimate hotspot for freeriders and ski tourers, family-friendly slopes for young and old and the Wunderwiese for year-round fun on the slopes.

Where once there were groomed pistes around the Schneeberg chairlift, there is now unprepared and open terrain. Freeriders can make their way back down to the valley from the mountain station on two unprepared ski routes and the ski tourers among us can begin their ascent of the Schneeberg. One thing is certain: if you are looking for wonderful pistes, snow-covered touring slopes and romantic winter landscapes on holiday in Lower Austria, the Hotel Schneeberghof on the Puchberg is the right place for you.

Drag lift - The family ski park

The drag lift is open in winter when there is enough snow. Family-friendly runs promise a great experience for young and old. In wintry temperatures, the snowmaking system ensures the best snow conditions on a skiing holiday with children in Lower Austria.

Schneeberg chairlift

The Schneeberg chairlift takes you from 870 to 1,210 metres above sea level in just a few minutes. The four-seater chairlift is the fastest and most comfortable connection from the valley up to the Fadensattel. This is the ideal starting point for countless panoramic hikes up and around the 2,076 metre-high Schneeberg, the highest mountain in Lower Austria.

In winter, freeride fans are lured up the mountain by unspoilt slopes. Guests can carve through the deep snow and make their way down into the valley as they please. The slopes are not groomed or secured!

A ski area of contrasts that go hand in hand in a relaxed way.
